We are so excited to announce that we have been awarded 5 more Great Taste Awards for 2022.

We’ve been shouting loud and proud about our awards for 2022, so if you follow us on our socials this announcement won’t come as a surprise. Nonetheless, we’re marking the occasion with a new blog post to celebrate. Here are the winners, and a little bit about what it means to win a Great Taste Award…

Mexican Smoky Chipotle Fajita Seasoning Mix (1 star)

Brazilian Paprika and Herbs Seasoning Mix (1 star)

Lightly Salted Tortilla Chips (1 star)  

Note: Judges award products with 1-star for ‘food and drink that delivers fantastic flavour’, 2-star for ‘above and beyond delicious’, 3-star as ‘extraordinarily tasty food and drink’.

What is Great Taste? (And why are we so excited?)

We’re all about flavour at Capsicana, which is why we’re so happy to be recognised for the taste and quality of our range. Organised by the Guild of Fine Food, the Great Taste Awards are just that, awards that recognise quality taste in products. Each award is recognised as a stamp of excellence and we’re proud of every single one we’ve been awarded so far.

How are the products judged?

All products in the line-up for judging are blind-tasted: every product is removed from its packaging so it cannot be identified, before entering a robust, layered judging process. Judges are made up from passionate foodies within the industry, ranging from top chefs and restaurateurs to food writers and product experts.
